Alice Wielant

After a specialized Master's degree as well as an aggregation in violin, the belgian Soprano Alice Wielant decides to dedicate herself to singing and enters, in 2013, in the class of Françoise Viatour and Elise Gäbele at the IMEP (Namur), where she graduates with a bachelor In June 2016. Then, she continues her Master studies at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel under the teaching of Lionel Lhote.

Alice is laureate of several competitions, including the contest of the New Talents of the Lyric Art of Ans where she obtains the prize of vocation. Since April 2015, she is a member of the MM Academy of the Opera « La Monnaie » (Brussels), which gives her the opportunity to perform on numerous productions.

In 2016, she performed the title role of Suor Angelica by Puccini in Namur, as well as Carl Orff's Carmina Burana and extracts from Aida under the direction of Guy Van Waas. In 2017, she is engaged as a young musician at the festival "ENCUENTRO" of Santander in Spain, then we could hear her as Arséna in the Strauss's der Zigeunerbaron  at the Palace Theater (Belgium). In 2018, she's engaged in duet with Maarten Vandenbemden at the Festival für alte Musik Aalen (Germany) and she sang the role of the second lady in the Opera die Zauberflöte by Mozart at the Berlin Opera Academy.

Alice just finished her Master's degree at the Hochschule für Musik Nürnberg (Germany) under the teaching of the costa rican soprano Iride Martinez. She follows currently the advice  of the soprano Hélène Bernardy at the Conservatoire of Luxembourg.

She has participated in master classes with Enrico Facini (Udk Berlin), Anna Samuil (Hfm Hanns Eisler Berlin), Ulrike Sonntag (Hfm Stuttgart), Christine Schweitzer, Pamela Amstrong, Fred Carama, Ricardo Tamura...

This summer, we could hear Alice as the countess Almaviva in the Opera Le Nozze di Figaro by Mozart at the Berlin Opera Academy (theater am Delphi, Berlin). To finish the 2019 season, she will perform as Pamina (die Zauberflöte, W.A. Mozart) in Luxembourg as well as in concert at the Marignan Theater (Belgium).
